Electrical Engineer

Gemma Power Systems is looking for an entry-level electrical engineer to support their home office Engineering group in Glastonbury, CT.
Responsibilities:
Report to the Lead Electrical Engineer and support the Project Engineering Manager (PEM).
Read and understand project requirements for proposal activities
Provide review comments for customer specifications, perform calculations for equipment sizing, and comments on plans and specifications
(Electrical Discipline) Development HV, MV, LV electrical concept, size electrical equipment, develop I&C details as required, including sizing requirements for DCS
Develop specifications to support procurement bid activity
Assist with bid evaluations and vendor technical selection to support estimate
Read and understand project requirements for project execution, including contract documents, project scope book, technical plans and specifications
Review and conform specifications issued by the Engineer of Record to assure adherence to GPS standards and the contract technical documents
Support procurement bid activities
Make recommendations to PEM or Project Manager for cost-saving installation, operational, and performance improvements.
Review and comment on Engineer of Record Drawings and Specification.
Review and comment on vendor drawings and other documents
Assist with bid evaluations/vendor technical short list selection
Develop draft conformed specification or purchase from selected supplier
Attend vendor meetings as required
Monitor the expediting of vendor documents
Ensure selected as-builts are issued by Engineer of Record during construction, as appropriate
Essential
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school
Must possess basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
Able to perform various mathematical calculations either manually or with calculator.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills required. Must be capable of interacting with engineers, suppliers, and shop/construction personnel.
Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform all job functions
Previous experience in an EPC contractor preferred, but not required.
US Citizen or Green Card.
Preferred EIT certificate or on track to sit for Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Word.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
