On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Glastonbury, CT.

Sr Systems Engineer Job Details
Will work with the Solution Architecture team to help devise the most appropriate and efficient strategy to implement targeted delivery solution(s).
Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities while implementing intended solutions. Has the ability, and capability, to help implement virtual services solutions to new external customers. Provide professional assistance to internal and external customers by providing support services around client?s Virtual Services offering. Able to resolve issues with any of the Virtual Services environments and work w/ infrastructure, legacy DMS, security, or enterprise application teams as necessary. Is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one of the virtual services offerings.

Provide Level-2 and Level-3 technical support for supported transformed environment.
? Recommends, tests and stages preventative maintenance, modifications and enhancements to applications and systems
? Setup and manage capacity and trending reports
? Participate in development of total system solutions
? Participate in product discovery, analysis, evaluation and development of system solutions
? Applies a high level of technical skill and expertise to complex projects and problems of considerable difficulty and importance
? Supports multiple applications and or systems
? Works under general direction/ of advisor, supervisor and or manager
? Has full responsibility and accountability for assigned work and deliverables
? Provides technical guidance to lower level team members
? Designs and implements new methods, procedures, and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of information within the company.
? Develops and provides documentation of the system specifications, including system scripts, system installation procedures, system backup and recovery
techniques and system test methods
? Analyzes, installs and configures applications; troubleshoots network problems, and monitors and evaluates system performance.
? Prepares systems for operational use and supports operational tests.
? May lead in the development of information technology and infrastructure solutions as new external projects are initiated
? Participate in discussions with Solution Architecture team that focus on early drafts of Statement of Work (SOW) with potential customers to determine if
intended solution appropriately meets the customer?s needs. Also, be able to make recommendations on how to make the solution more effective.
? Ability to own the task of creating and seeking customer approval of proposed application test parameters prior to formally implementing the deployment and procedure of patch and software via deployment tools.
? Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation of virtual services program issues on behalf of customers and project team members to appropriate technical personnel
? Proactively provide continuous process improvement feedback and update standard operating procedures to improve operational efficiency.
? Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in at least one of the Virtual Services disciplines.
? Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices, company policies, and procedures
? Works independently with little to no supervision.
? Ability to work on call after hours as required
? Consulting with external project team members as well as looking for opportunities to move day-to-day tasks to the Service Desk through knowledgebase articles and training.
? Able to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
? Providing Case status updates to management, project team members and end-users. This may involve presenting to customers directly in workshops or other means (for example, using Webex or conducting in-person).
? Providing phone support and diagnostics to remote customers and project team members
? Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to Virtual Services support
? Ability to fill in as acting Team Lead when necessary

? Ability to work independently and take ownership
? Ability to manage VCS initiatives and organize programs
? Establish procedures and will continuously look for opportunities to proactively enhance
? Strong technical and analytical skills, specifically within the virtual services and solutions.
? SME-level expertise of supported Microsoft Windows operating systems
? Intermediate/Advanced level expertise with Active Directory administration, including maximizing the use of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for task automation.
? Intermediate level expertise with scripting tools such as PowerShell
? Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of customers with varying computer abilities

? Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
? ITIL Certification preferred
? MCITP: Windows 7 certification required
? MCITP: Windows Server 2008 certification preferred
? Minimum 4 year Application and or Systems Administration experience in a 24 x 7 production environment (certification preferred)
? Expert knowledge of Applications and Systems
? Experience with Citrix, VMware View (certification preferred)
? Experience with OS Deployment
? Expertise in one or more of the following, with knowledge in all: AppSense, ThinPrint XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, and Hyper-V.
? Advanced understanding of Network Security
? Experience using multiple scripting languages
? 6-10 years or more of related experience preferred

? Ability to travel as required. Very limited travel if any, but might have 1 domestic trip per quarter.
? Ability to lift 50lbs (printers, desktop machines, etc).'

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
