4 year Bachelors degree required, preferably Accounting or Finance degree. A masters degree in taxation
A CPA license with at least 15 years bank accounting/tax experience of which 10-12 years of Big 4 accounting experience with a concentration in corporate tax and state taxation is required
Must have solid partnership tax experience
Experience with insurance taxation desired
Must be proficient in FAS 109 and have a good working knowledge of FIN 48 and executive compensation matters (including 162(m) and 280G)

Specific responsibilities of this position include oversight of all income tax planning and income tax compliance (federal, state and local tax compliance), managing tax research, franchise and planning strategies, performing due diligence, and managing taxing authority examinations.
Oversee of monthly, quarterly and annual income tax provisions
Oversee and/or conduct special project analysis and tax research
Oversee and/or conduct federal and state income tax planning and exposure and risk management
Provide in-depth tax knowledge of REIT and PIC entities - oversee and/or manage tax status of these entities and compliance
Manager tax authority examination risk/exposure and ensure responses to IRS and State Revenue Agency notices are complete and timely
