Summary:
This is a unique role combining asset management and configuration management database responsibilities.
The IT Asset Management & Configuration Management Engineer will drive the design and implementation of an IT asset management program utilizing ServiceNow's CMDB and Flexera's software and hardware management.
The Asset Management & Configuration Management Engineer is a key enabler for enabling operational visibility, control, and performance improvement across Selective Insurance.
Responsibilities:
Applies intermediate to advanced knowledge of FlexeraOne/IT Asset Management best practices to effectively manage Data Center licenses.
Ability to quickly adopt and apply knowledge of data center infrastructure for on-prem, VMWare, and cloud devices.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate data repository for critical applications and server-based products to mitigate risk.
Identify automation and continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies.
Oversees, orchestrates, and delivers on-time audit deliverables.
Builds trusted partnerships with leaders and SMEs across the organization.
Presents concise messaging with prescriptive insights to senior leaders to drive business decisions.
Retains a comprehensive understanding of repairs and maintenance, procurement, and financial processes.
Assists asset team members with license entitlement and position tracking in FlexeraOne.
Accountable for overseeing the growth and maturation of the FlexeraOne product portfolio.
Responsible for the planning, delivery, and maintenance of accurate follow-the-renewal dates, deliverables, and communications.
Effectively work with software asset team members to assign, track task status, and execute follow-the-renewal senior leadership reports.
Responsible for activating trainings, proficiency sessions, and creating documentation for server license management processes.
Works closely with the software license and compliance Sr.
Engineer to implement connections in FlexeraOne to increase usability of the tool to generate savings opportunities.
Collaborates with Repairs and Maintenance, Indirect Procurement, FlexeraOne Customer Success Manager, FlexeraOne Product & Development Managers to generate value-based outputs.
Communicates tool features and dependencies to key stakeholders, server, and engineer partners.
Owns and leads the execution of the server license strategy roadmap deliverables.
Applies knowledge of server and data center process management.
Leads, coaches, and mentors team members to ensure a positive, inclusive team culture.
Qualifications:
Knowledge on ITIL Frameworks and ITSM principles (Preferability certified) Experienced ServiceNow & CMDB Admin - knowledge of Hardware Management, Discovery and Service Mapping Flexera Software experience is highly preferred Strong documentation and business process mapping skills Excellent project management skills Excellent training and presentation skills Ability to partner effectively on cross-functional projects and/or teams Experience managing within a matrix structure and dealing with ambiguity through effective influence and collaboration at multiple levels in the organization Salary range:
$125,000 - $167,600.
The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint.
